The "Open File - Security Warning" appears every time when trying to run Apteryx software from a server. The warning states that the "publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?"

This warning occurs as a result of updating to Internet Explorer 7 or higher.
To stop this warning from appearing, Use one of the following methods:
Open 'Internet Properties':
Windows XP: Click on Start > Run. Type in INETCPL.CPL and press OK.
Windows Vista/7: Click on Start and type INETCPL.CPL in the search field and hit [Enter] on the keyboard.
Click on the 'Security' tab, select Local intranet, and then click the Sites button.

Deselect 'Automatically detect network' and enable the other options as shown in the image below.

Add the IP address or name of the server to your Trusted sites zone in Internet Explorer:
Open 'Internet Properties':
Windows XP: Click on Start > Run. Type in INETCPL.CPL and press OK.
Windows Vista/7: Click on Start and type INETCPL.CPL in the search field and hit [Enter] on the keyboard.
Click on the 'Security' tab, select Local intranet, and then click the Sites button.
The 'Local intranet' dialog box displays. Click on the Advanced button.

The local intranet advanced options display. Uncheck Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.

Add the IP address or name of the server to the list. Then click Close.
