HELP: Scanner Xrays Are Appearing In The Same Tile

SYMPTOMS

When x-rays are scanned using hardware such as phosphor plate scanners, all of the images are appearing under the same tile in the layout.

CAUSE

When acquiring scanned images into a tile in a layout, the XrayVision™ (XV) retrieves all of the images from the scanner and then tries to apply them in order to the layout.   If the next tile in the series has a source of other than 'Scanner', the software automatically places ALL images in the last tile with the source specified as 'Scanner' (so that no images are discarded) instead of distributing them across the various tiles in the layout.   This is by design since the software tracks hardware sources and will not mix-and-match images generated by different hardware types.

RESOLUTION

When capturing images into a layout using a scanner, make sure that the tiles comprising the layout are set to acquire from a source of "Scanner". (Optionally, "TWAIN" can be setup as the source if the hardware's TWAIN drivers are installed on the workstation.)
