HOWTO: Add an additional pac license

Beyond the number included in the initial installation, Personal Access Certificates (PACs) are required for each additional computer/workstation on which XrayVision (XV) will be run. Once the license is added to the XV on the server/network, it will be allocated to the new workstation when XV is launched.

To add an addiontal PAC License:

  1. Launch XV from a licensed workstation.

  2. From the menu at the top, select Tools > Advanced Options > Re-register Application.

  3. The 'Additional Registration Numbers' dialog box displays. Select Add New RegNUM.

  4. The 'Register New Number' dialog box appears. Enter the new, additional PAC license number in the 'Registration Number' field and select Get Activation Code. Select Done once the activation code is acquired.

  5. The new license will display on the list. Select Done and exit from the application.

  6. Log into the workstation being added, access the Apteryx Install folder on the server, and double-click on the XVassistant.exe application file.

  7. The new PAC license will be automatically allocated to the workstation.

  8. When XrayVision (XV) is launched for the first time on a workstation, the user has the option to specify the size (large or small) of icons on the toolbar and toolbox. Select the desired size.

  9. Once the application loads, select Help > Create Local Shortcuts to create icons on the new workstation's desktop and start menu.
