HOWTO: send Images using internet email accounts

To quickly and easily email images using Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, etc., an Auto Export definition can be created to export an open image(s) from XrayVision (XV) to a well know location. The images can then be easily located and added as an attachment before sending the email.

Creating an Auto Export Definition

Refer to the following knowledgebase article to create an auto-export definition: HOWTO: Automate The Image Export Process.

Once created, the definition can be used to quickly export open images to the location specified in Step 4 above.

To quickly and easily email images using Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, etc.:

  1. Right-click on the image that is to be emailed and select Save > Auto Exports and select the appropriate auto export definition listed.

  2. Log into the internet email account and create a new email message.

  3. Use the email application's Attachment feature to browse to the location specified in the auto export definition and attach the exported image to the email.
