Imaging device extensions (files ending in the extension IDDLL) are used to extend the image capture capabilities of the XVa3 application. Typically, these extensions are utilized for devices that do not support the TWAIN standard (such as real-time video). Existing XrayVision® (XV) installations can instantly add imaging device extensions simply by running the corresponding hardware-specific upgrader from Apteryx's Sensor & Imaging Device updater site located at http://www.apteryx.com/software-updates.
