Akron, OH. - November 16, 1998 -- Apteryx, Inc. is very excited to announce that XrayVision Assistant 3 is now a registered medical device with the Food and Drug Administration. XrayVision passed the FDA requirements for becoming a safe PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) device. Click here to view the offical FDA statement. We are excited to also announce that Apteryx, Inc. has been issued a patent (U.S. Patent No. 5,900,883) for our Multiple Media Storage Image Format. This image file format is utilized heavily in our imaging products to store large images across multiple media.
