Apteryx has been issued a patent on their Name Grabber technology

Akron, OH. - March 23, 2004 -- Apteryx, Inc., a custom software development company based in Akron, announced that the company has been issued a patent for their method of data capture.

“The research behind this patent is extensive. This innovative technique has been a driving feature of our dental imaging software, allowing Apteryx Imaging to bridge to most of the practice management software out there on the market,” explained Kevin Crucs, President of Apteryx, Inc.

Development on the data grabbing technology began in 1999. The patented data grabbing technology (U.S. Patent No. 6,711,564) has been available as NameGrabber in the popular Apteryx Imaging package, a digital dentistry imaging software family consisting of XrayVision® and XVlite™ and related software since 2000. Apteryx also provides a standalone version known as DataGrabber to the Dental Hardware OEM market.
