-- Apteryx, Inc., a custom software development company based in Akron, reports strong growth in 2005, continuing the trend from 2004. Apteryx saw a 64% overall growth in sales and development for 2005. This is on top of a 277% increase seen over the past two years.
“Our growth can be genuinely attributed to the quality of our retail software applications for the digital dental radiography market, which has begun to finally take off in the past couple years,” remarked Keith Kneisley, Apteryx Sales Director. “Our software has become the standard, common link for multiple third-party hardware and practice management packages in the dental industry.”
“If it wasn’t for Apteryx pushing the envelope in digital dental radiography since the late nineties,” noted Kevin Crucs, Apteryx President, “users would still be stuck in proprietary systems that only allow a manufacturer’s hardware to interface with the same manufacturer’s software. There would be no other choice.”
Apteryx’s success in the digital dental field has not gone unnoticed. The United States’ military recently contracted with Apteryx to create a DICOM-standard environment for dental that can be implemented over a large user-base.
Sales and development have not been the only growth within the company. Apteryx has increased function and abilities of the company with increased hiring and expansion.
